About me

As a counsellor and psychotherapist, I am motivated by the opportunity to help people remove obstacles that maybe preventing them from unlocking their potential.

I offer a space where you can explore thoughts and feelings that you otherwise may not have an opportunity to express. In sessions with me, themes and patterns in your life can be explored and troubling experiences reframed, no longer holding you back from fulfilling your potential.

I cannot offer you a "magic pill" or simple solution to your problems, but together we can move towards you experiencing your feelings fully and expressing them in healthy and adaptive ways, which will enrich your life.

I will respect your autonomy as a unique individual, but also challenge you when required. The end goal being to encourage personal responsibility that will help you cope outside of the counselling room, and also when you decide you are ready to leave counselling.

British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy

Registered member of the BACP

My practice is set in Bushey, Hertfordshire, overlooking more than two acres of gardens, offering a peaceful and private environment in which you can feel comfortable to explore issues.

Psychodynamic model

I use psychodynamic theory in a straight forward manner to inform my practice. In your initial sessions, we'll explore what brought you to counselling and reflect on your history. We'll consider the influence of the past on the present, highlighting possible patterns.

During your sessions, I'll help you to decipher between current feelings and those that are remnants of the past.

I can offer both short-term and open-ended counselling models. Please see here for more information and here for prices.
